Carleton V Ltd. was founded in 1973 by Carleton B. Varney Jr. Mr. Varney, the President of Dorothy Draper and company, established Carleton V Ltd. as a textile and wallcovering design studio that would provide creative product for Dorothy Draper’s high end residential and hospitality projects.
Under Mr. Varney’s creative direction the Carleton V Ltd. product line established a distinctive “draper-esque” look that highlighted the use of vibrant color in large scaled printed fabric with matching wallcovering.
